Central Organization of Trade Unions Secretary-General Francis Atwoli yesterday excused Deputy President William Ruto's mission invasions in the Western district, naming them as insignificant.
Ruto, according to Atwoli, will not receive any votes in the Luhya Community. He said Luhyas "would prefer to decide in favor of some other fiend yet not Ruto."
Talking in Kakamega yesterday, the exchange unionist said the DP didn't have any sure plan for Luhyas and the country at large.
"Ruto can visit the Western locale upwards of 20 times each week however he won't get a solitary vote from the occupants," he said.
Atwoli talked as the DP proceeded with his visit through the district, what began on Monday in Bungoma and Kakamega regions, Tuesday he was in Trans Nzoia, Wednesday in Busia and yesterday in Vihiga.
He was before in Mumias on December 31 where he graced the finals of Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malalah's soccer competition.
The DP has been expressing a desire for peace to Amani National Congress pioneer Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula to hold hands with him.
Yet, Mudavadi and the Bungoma Senator, who are individuals from the One Kenya Alliance, excused discussions of them joining the DP or ODM pioneer Raila Odinga.
Atwoli said Luhyas are lucky to be in 'Azimio La Umoja' drove by Raila than in Ruto's 'Trickster' wing.
"Genuine legislative issues are yet to begin so Ruto is simply moving himself weak even before the music starts. We will squash and destroy all that he is doing in the Western area in under seven days," he added.
Atwoli on December 31 facilitated a gathering of Azimio la Umoja pioneers in Bukhungu during which Raila was embraced for the administration.
